Help Connect Homeschool Families with the Illinois Homeschool Resource Center
Many families discover the Illinois Homeschool Resource Center through word of mouth, co-ops, and shared resources within the homeschool community. The Outreach Team helps make sure families across Central Illinois know about the opportunities, events, and resources available through the IL HRC.
Some roles involve communication with local homeschool groups, while others help create materials that make it easy to share information.
Many outreach roles can be done from home and on a flexible schedule.
Co-op Liaison
The Co-op Liaison helps build relationships with homeschool co-ops and groups throughout the region.
Responsibilities may include:
• Maintaining a list of local co-ops and homeschool groups
• Communicating upcoming IL HRC events and opportunities
• Sharing flyers or event calendars with co-op leaders
• Helping ensure co-ops know about new resources and programs
This role helps strengthen connections across the homeschool community and ensures that families throughout the region stay informed.
Social Media Manager
The Social Media Manager helps communicate upcoming events and resources through the IL HRC’s social media platforms.
Responsibilities may include:
• Posting event announcements
• Sharing photos and updates from events
• Scheduling posts for upcoming programs
• Helping maintain a consistent online presence
This role is great for someone who enjoys communication, creativity, and connecting with people online.
Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator
The Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator helps ensure the IL HRC continues to grow by helping new volunteers find places to serve.
Responsibilities may include:
• Sharing volunteer opportunities with homeschool families
• Helping connect interested volunteers with team leaders
• Promoting volunteer needs through newsletters or social media
This role helps ensure that the IL HRC has the people it needs to serve families well.
Graphics & Materials Creator
The Graphics & Materials Creator helps design visual materials that communicate IL HRC events and opportunities clearly.
Responsibilities may include:
• Creating event flyers
• Designing monthly event calendars
• Preparing graphics for social media
• Helping maintain consistent visual branding
These materials help families easily share information about events with friends and homeschool groups.
Event Calendar Coordinator
The Event Calendar Coordinator helps compile and share a simple calendar of IL HRC events.
Responsibilities may include:
• Creating monthly or seasonal event calendars
• Preparing calendars for social media and print
• Ensuring events are clearly communicated to families
