Cherry Pie Day Road Trip – March 26 🍒🥧
Every spring, homeschool families from across Illinois gather for Cherry Pie Day hosted by Illinois Christian Home Educators in Springfield — and we want Central Illinois families to go together!
Instead of driving alone, let’s make it a community day.
📍 Meet-Up Details
We’ll meet at the Illinois Homeschool Resource Center
111 Fisk St., Goodfield
7:45 AM departure
Families can caravan together to Springfield for a full day of encouragement, connection, and (of course) to have our voices be heard in Springfield.
🥧 Optional Pie Pre-Order
Want to participate in Cherry Pie Day but don’t have time to bake?
We’ll be taking pie orders and transporting them for you so you can:
✔️ Avoid baking stress
✔️ Skip extra travel
✔️ Still participate fully
Your pie can be picked up later at the Library — easy and simple.
Pie orders must be placed by 3/24/26!
Why Go?
Cherry Pie Day is a unique opportunity for homeschool families to:
Encourage legislators
Celebrate homeschool freedom in Illinois
Connect with families from across the state
Show up together as a visible, unified community
If you’ve never been, this is the perfect year to try — especially with friends.
Let’s make it a field trip.
Let’s make it a memory.
Let’s go together.
